Inside the job
A standard visit covers surfaces you see and touch every day: kitchen counters and appliance fronts, sinks, toilets, tubs and showers, mirrors, dusting of reachable surfaces, vacuuming and mopping. Deep cleans add baseboards, door frames, grout, inside the oven and similar slow tasks.
Usually outside the job
| Task | Why it is excluded | Who to ask |
|---|---|---|
| Exterior windows above ground floor | Ladders and fall risk | A window cleaning company |
| Mold, sewage, biohazard cleanup | Needs protective gear and specialist methods | A remediation company |
| Moving heavy furniture or appliances | Injury and damage risk | Movers, or arrange it beforehand |
| Carpet shampooing | Different equipment | A carpet cleaning company |
| Organizing personal papers | Privacy | You |
| Pet waste in the yard | Outside the house | A pet waste service |
Supplies
Teams booked through Cleanridge bring their own vacuums, mops, cloths and products. If you have products you prefer, for a natural stone counter, say, leave them out with a note.
Do you need to be home?
No. Many people leave a key or a code and go to work. Put away valuables and anything fragile you would rather nobody touched, secure pets you are unsure about, and tell us about alarms.
How to get the best result
- Clear counters and floors of clutter so the team spends its time cleaning, not tidying
- Point out priority rooms on the first visit
- Tell us within a day if anything was missed, so it can be put right
Short answers
Are you supposed to leave the house when cleaners come?
You do not have to. Staying is fine; many people simply prefer to be out so the team can move freely.
Do cleaners do dishes?
A sink of dishes can be added on request. Large piles from several days are better handled before the visit.
Do cleaners change bed sheets?
Yes, if you leave clean linens out. It is part of the standard visit when requested.
